Okami is one of those "If you only buy one game this year" affairs. The developers have effortlessly captured something which is sadly all too lacking in the desparate scramble for a monopoly on innovative gaming. Okami is smooth and lacks the 'gimmicky' quality that makes its competitors seem puerile and ultimately pointless, and instead utilises the wii's capabilities in a charming and intuitive fashion. The celestial brush feels natural to use - although some gestures are frustratingly hard to perform at times, the general ease of use outweighs this. In addition, the gameplay and storyline feels like a living, breathing work of art. It's a real pleasure to play this game. Capcom once again show themselves to be the most sagacious team out there, I'd recommend Okami to anybody. It retails at only £7 or thereabouts nowadays, which in my opinion is criminally underpriced!
